Stopped at Harris and caught about 5 dozen big bluegills and more importantly big shellcrackers.  The water was coming out as hard as it can and we decided to catch some shad below the spillway and fish there til dark.  Caught several channel cats in the very swift water including this 12.1 pound catfish landed by David in the swift water on 8 pound test (the rod in the pic is mine and it was in the way).  A little bit later he gets another one on cut shad and lo and behold it turns out to be a 15lb. 10oz. Flathead.  I caught several smaller channels in this area before dark.

We moved downstream after dark and found it hard to fish the very swift water.  Decided to head down to the Cape Fear and try a few new spots.  I had three on but all three got me hung up before I could get them in.  There was a lot of feeding noises going on despite the crazy fast water.  These two did make for a decent trip
