I was at Harris at the butt crack of dawn netting a bait tank full of shad to take along with to North Raleigh. Met Phil and we messed with schooling fish for awhile. We then moved off shore and saw a lot of fish but they were too small to really hit the big shad I had on board. Falls Lake is heading down a bad road with the lack of larger forage and the roaming nature of the abundant forage, tiny Threadfin Shad. It is making the fish long and skinny and stunting their growth. Falls is becoming the new Lake Norman in my opinion. We decided to head back to more familiar big bass waters and onward to Harris we rode.
