" a windy bite"
Got to the lake about 1:00PM today to get bait for this trip. When I arrived, the lake was glass calm. After one throw of the net and 220 baits in the tank, the wind picked up to almost white cap speed the rest of the day. Anchoring for the day will be challenging. Picked up 4 eager anglers and away we go. The first spot was pretty good and we got 8 or so. We then moved on to spot #2 and caught 1 and had to re-anchor a few times. Not good. We then steamed over to spot #3 and stayed there until we left. The fish were pretty hungry. We caught a bunch and lost a confirmed 8-10 bass on jumps, line breaks and so on. I figured after you deduct riding time, we averaged a bass hooked up every 6-7 minutes for about 4 hours straight. We also caught a Pickerel, Catfish, White Perch and Crappie. The little guys on this trip did a great job and caught on quick. I had a great time with some great folks once again.
