"Hawg Fest (part 2)"
Out today in the 40 mph winds and chilly air. Had a guide trip coming later in the day so we were there to check a few spots and get bait. Bait = easy. One throw of my new 12 foot net and game over. Fished a few spots where the bass are suspended but the wind won that battle. We then landed in a cove in about 8-13 feet of water. We anchored the boat and managed 13 bass with four over 5 pounds. We also caught a few cats and a huge White Perch. Had to take off to meet my party. Dropped David off and they showed up a few minutes later. As I approached the dock to pick them up, SNAP! boat won't go in gear. Trip over, no paycheck for me today. That has never happened before and I hope it never does again. Motor is under warranty and the dealer is going to try to replace the pin tomorrow. I hope so because I have another trip on Wednesday. I want a new boat and now seems like a good time to start looking. My boat is for sale if someone wants it. I don't know what I owe on it but that's what I'll sell it for. Loaded. The only thing I am taking off of it is my bait tank, but I will throw in another 50 gallon bait tank. It has caught as many fish in freshwater over the last three years as some do in their lifetime. It is a fish catching machine.
