A cold rainy morning and I just knew  this would be the day the fish bit well.  Picked up our guys at the Merry Oaks ramp amid a tournament launch and off we went.  We found the first spot available and fishing we went.  Caught a few and then decided to explore.  We did find a ton of fish.  But........they did not want to eat good again.  We got a few up to 5.5 pounds but it was oh so slow.  Caught a few other species of fish and that was that.  This was as enjoyable a trip as I have had all year and I learned a few nice jokes....just can't tell them when the kids are around!
